Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2005 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work Light on the wall by Preecha Thaothong. The price achieved of HKD 66,000.00 (€ 7,221.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 55,000.00 – 70,000.00. Other works by Preecha Thaothong have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2021 the work Mural Painting was auctioned for HKD 125,000.00 (€ 13,213.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2005 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Light on the wall von Preecha Thaothong zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 66.000,00 (€ 7.221,37) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 55.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Preecha Thaothong konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2021 die Arbeit Mural Painting für HKD 125.000,00 (€ 13.213,47) versteigert.
