Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Czech Duck (Kačer) by Pravoslav Kotík was sold in the Czech Avant-Garde Art from the Roy and Mary Cullen Collection auction at Sothebys in London in November 2014. The result of GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,257.28) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pravoslav Kotík achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Czech women Peeling Potatoes (Ženy Loupající Brambory) in June 2011 with an auction result of GBP 20,000.00 (€ 22,126.28).
