The »bidding war« ended at USD 43,000.00 (€ 27,620.76), 72% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Pouran Jinchi; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Alef series sold at auction in October 2008 with the realized price of USD 68,500.00 (€ 54,013.56).
