Auction result well in line with expectations

In May 2003 Christies in London held the auction THE KAI WUNSCHE COLLECTION, DIE WEISSE VILLA, HAMBURG, which included the work Repairing the tunic; and An amusing letter by Pompeo Massani. It changed hands for a price of GBP 4,935.00 (€ 6,875.70) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 4,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pompeo Massani - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Les Voyeurs, which sold at auction in November 2018 for EUR 22,400.00.

Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Im Mai 2003 führte Christies in London die Auktion THE KAI WUNSCHE COLLECTION, DIE WEISSE VILLA, HAMBURG durch, in der auch die Arbeit Repairing the tunic; and An amusing letter von Pompeo Massani zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 4.935,00 (€ 6.875,70) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Pompeo Massani mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Les Voyeurs beobachtet, die im November 2018 für EUR 22.400,00 versteigert wurde.
