Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pompeo Mariani achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Two Elegant Ladies in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 59,375.00 (€ 43,292.02).

Die Arbeit Mare in burrasca von Pompeo Mariani kam im November 2019 bei Il Ponte zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 750,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50 %. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pompeo Mariani erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Two Elegant Ladies im Januar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 59.375,00 (€ 43.292,02).
