Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art, which included this untitled work by Piraji Sagara. The price achieved of GBP 3,780.00 (€ 4,168.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Piraji Sagara have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Cityscape) in November 2019 with an auction result of INR 2,750,000.00 (€ 34,690.08).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary South Asian Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Piraji Sagara zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.780,00 (€ 4.168,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Piraji Sagara auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Cityscape) im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von INR 2.750.000,00 (€ 34.690,08).
