Auction result well in line with expectations
In May last year Artcurial in Paris held the auction African Contemporary Art, which included the work Sans Titre (Deux Oiseaux Autour D'Un Nid) by Mulongoy Pili Pili. The price achieved of EUR 3,674.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Mulongoy Pili Pili achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Simba (Le Lion En Swahili) in November 2021 with an auction result of EUR 45,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion African Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans Titre (Deux Oiseaux Autour D'Un Nid) von Mulongoy Pili Pili zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.674,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Mulongoy Pili Pili erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Simba (Le Lion En Swahili) im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 45.500,00.
