The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,673.00 (€ 2,367.76), 67% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Pietro di Gottardo Gonzaga have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Two designs for the stage: The courtyard of a palace; and The fortified moat of a castle in January 2000 with an auction result of USD 18,400.00 (€ 18,858.26).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.673,00 (€ 2.367,76) und damit 67% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pietro di Gottardo Gonzaga auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Two designs for the stage: The courtyard of a palace; and The fortified moat of a castle im Januar 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 18.400,00 (€ 18.858,26).
