Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fantasy Architectural Designs by Pietro di Gottardo Gonzaga was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in February 2020. The price achieved of USD 1,500.00 (€ 1,360.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,200.00 – 1,800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pietro di Gottardo Gonzaga achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Two designs for the stage: The courtyard of a palace; and The fortified moat of a castle in January 2000 with an auction result of USD 18,400.00 (€ 18,858.26).

Die Arbeit Fantasy Architectural Designs von Pietro di Gottardo Gonzaga kam im Februar 2020 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.500,00 (€ 1.360,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.200,00 – 1.800,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pietro di Gottardo Gonzaga erzielen.
