Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,125.00 (€ 5,474.70) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pietro Giacomo Palmieri - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Moonlit Landscape With Fishermen, which sold at auction in July 2014 for GBP 11,875.00 (€ 14,978.11).
