In December 2005 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Pictures & Drawings, which included the work An extensive landscape with a fisherman by a river, a castle seen on the far bank by Pietro Giacomo Palmieri. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 900.00 (€ 1,306.30), 29% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pietro Giacomo Palmieri achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Moonlit Landscape With Fishermen in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 14,978.11).

Im Dezember 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master Pictures & Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit An extensive landscape with a fisherman by a river, a castle seen on the far bank von Pietro Giacomo Palmieri zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 900,00 (€ 1.306,30) und damit 29% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pietro Giacomo Palmieri erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Moonlit Landscape With Fishermen im Juli 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.875,00 (€ 14.978,11).
