In November 2000 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Pictures, which included the work The Entombment by Pietro Faccini. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 15,275.00 (€ 24,966.38), 27% above the upper estimate. Other works by Pietro Faccini have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 31,250.00 (€ 34,815.27) in December 2018 for the work Allegory of the Immaculate Conception.
