In October 2013 Christies in New York held the auction 19th Century European Art, which included the work Touareg by Pietro Calvi. The »bidding war« ended at USD 57,500.00 (€ 42,298.07), 64% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pietro Calvi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Italian Bust Of Othello, The Moor Of Venice, which sold at auction in April 2014 for GBP 92,500.00 (€ 112,593.91).

Im Oktober 2013 führte Christies in New York die Auktion 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Touareg von Pietro Calvi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 57.500,00 (€ 42.298,07) und damit 64% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Pietro Calvi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Italian Bust Of Othello, The Moor Of Venice beobachtet, die im April 2014 für GBP 92.500,00 (€ 112.593,91) versteigert wurde.
