In July 2008 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master Drawings, which included the work Venus Bathing, Surrounded By Putti by Pietro Buonaccorsi. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 10,000.00 (€ 12,705.11), 43% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pietro Buonaccorsi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Holy Family With The Infant Saint John The Baptist in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 2,098,500.00 (€ 1,530,076.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 43 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2008 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Venus Bathing, Surrounded By Putti von Pietro Buonaccorsi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 12.705,11) und damit 43% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pietro Buonaccorsi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Holy Family With The Infant Saint John The Baptist im Januar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.098.500,00 (€ 1.530.076,56).
