A top price for Pietro Bianchi - as previously expected
The work Diana And Actaeon; And The Rape Of Europa by Pietro Bianchi was sold in the Old Master Paintings Part I auction at Christies in New York in January 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 125,000.00 (€ 110,717.45) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Diana And Actaeon; And The Rape Of Europa is the most expensive artwork by Pietro Bianchi that we have observed at auctions so far.
