In June 2015 Sothebys in New York held the auction Master Paintings, which included the work An Old Philosopher At Her Desk, With A Vanitas Skull And An Hourglass by Pietro Bellotti. The »bidding war« ended at USD 31,250.00 (€ 28,016.85), 56% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pietro Bellotti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Venice with the Punta della Dogana, looking East towards the Doge's Palace; and Venice with the Grand Canal, S. Geremia and the entrance to the Cannaregio in July last year with an auction result of GBP 425,000.00 (€ 507,525.49).

Im Juni 2015 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Old Philosopher At Her Desk, With A Vanitas Skull And An Hourglass von Pietro Bellotti zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 31.250,00 (€ 28.016,85) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pietro Bellotti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Venice with the Punta della Dogana, looking East towards the Doge's Palace; and Venice with the Grand Canal, S. Geremia and the entrance to the Cannaregio im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 425.000,00 (€ 507.525,49).
