In February 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Study of a male nude; and a companion print by Pietro Annigoni. The »bidding war« ended at USD 2,375.00 (€ 1,563.84), 58% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pietro Annigoni achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Princess Margaret in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 680,000.00 (€ 983,948.67).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 58 % übertroffen
Im Februar 2008 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Study of a male nude; and a companion print von Pietro Annigoni zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 2.375,00 (€ 1.563,84) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pietro Annigoni erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait of Princess Margaret im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 680.000,00 (€ 983.948,67).
