It achieved a price of USD 54,000.00 (€ 41,544.85), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 54%. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Pieter Wouwerman; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Horsemen Bathing Their Mounts At The Tour De Nesle With The Porte De Nesle And The Pont-Neuf Beyond, Paris sold at auction in December 2007 with the realized price of GBP 48,500.00 (€ 65,903.27).
