Auction result well in line with expectations

However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pieter Wouwerman - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Horsemen Bathing Their Mounts At The Tour De Nesle With The Porte De Nesle And The Pont-Neuf Beyond, Paris, which sold at auction in December 2007 for GBP 48,500.00 (€ 65,903.27).
