Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pieter Cornelisz. van Slingelandt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of a gentleman, three-quarter-length, in a 'Japansche rok', standing in a library, giving a messenger a letter in May 2008 with an auction result of EUR 216,250.00.
