Sold at the lower estimate price
The work Study Of A Trotting Donkey With Sidepacks by Pieter van Bloemen was sold in the Old Master & British Works on Paper auction at Sothebys in London in July 2019. The result of GBP 2,500.00 (€ 2,744.83) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pieter van Bloemen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A mounted cavalier, seen from behind in December 2011 with an auction result of GBP 253,250.00 (€ 303,302.65).
