Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2015 Christies in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings & Sculpture Part II, which included the work Cavaliers Setting Off On A Journey; And A Military Blacksmith Shoeing Horses By A Ruin by Pieter van Bloemen. The price achieved of USD 30,000.00 (€ 26,572.19) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pieter van Bloemen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A mounted cavalier, seen from behind in December 2011 with an auction result of GBP 253,250.00 (€ 303,302.65).

Im Januar 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Old Master Paintings & Sculpture Part II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cavaliers Setting Off On A Journey; And A Military Blacksmith Shoeing Horses By A Ruin von Pieter van Bloemen zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 26.572,19) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pieter van Bloemen erzielen.
