A top price for Pieter Stortenbeker - as previously expected
The work Cattle on the beach at low tide by Pieter Stortenbeker was sold in the 19th CenturyEuropean Art auction at Christies in Amsterdam in October 2008. It changed hands for a price of EUR 45,400.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Cattle on the beach at low tide is the most expensive artwork by Pieter Stortenbeker that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Cattle on the beach at low tide von Pieter Stortenbeker wurde im Oktober 2008 in der Auktion 19th CenturyEuropean Art bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 45.400,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Cattle on the beach at low tide das teuerste Kunstwerk von Pieter Stortenbeker, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
