This artwork by Pieter Oyens achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in October last year. In the Made in Holland auction, the work Young lady drawing sold for EUR 6,930.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pieter Oyens - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A copiist at work in the Galeries du Luxembourg, Paris, which sold at auction in October 2000 for NLG 44,467.60 (€ 21,342.98).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Pieter Oyens erzielte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Made in Holland wurde die Arbeit Young lady drawing für EUR 6.930,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.500,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Pieter Oyens mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A copiist at work in the Galeries du Luxembourg, Paris beobachtet, die im Oktober 2000 für NLG 44.467,60 (€ 21.342,98) versteigert wurde.
