Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Witness by Pieter Laurens Mol was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in November 2000. The price achieved of NLG 1,872.32 (€ 877.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as NLG 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pieter Laurens Mol achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dutch champs De Mars in June 2010 with an auction result of EUR 13,000.00.

Die Arbeit The Witness von Pieter Laurens Mol kam im November 2000 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von NLG 1.872,32 (€ 877,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit NLG 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pieter Laurens Mol erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dutch champs De Mars im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 13.000,00.
