The Juli and Andrew Wieg Collection auction at Sothebys in London in March 2021. The price achieved of GBP 6,930.00 (€ 8,140.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Figures near a fountain amidst Roman ruins is the most expensive artwork by Pieter Anthonisz. van Groenewegen that we have observed at auctions so far.
