Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2002 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH PICTURES 1500-1850, which included the work A lady and her maid at a fishmonger the river Thames with the Monument and the City of London visible beyond by Pieter Angellis. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 4,182.50 (€ 6,549.58) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pieter Angellis achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A view of Covent Garden, London, on market day in December 2012 with an auction result of GBP 56,450.00 (€ 69,618.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH PICTURES 1500-1850 durch, in der auch die Arbeit A lady and her maid at a fishmonger the river Thames with the Monument and the City of London visible beyond von Pieter Angellis zur Versteigerung kam.
