Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Papavers - Poppies by Piet van Wijngaerdt was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2007. The price achieved of EUR 1,080.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Piet van Wijngaerdt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Het Toilet in May 2006 with an auction result of EUR 11,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Papavers - Poppies von Piet van Wijngaerdt kam im Januar 2007 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.080,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Piet van Wijngaerdt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Het Toilet im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 11.400,00.
