This artwork by Piet van Wijngaerdt achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2007. In the Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings auction, the work Landschap met zon (herfst) - Autumn landscape sold for EUR 3,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Piet van Wijngaerdt - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Het Toilet, which sold at auction in May 2006 for EUR 11,400.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Piet van Wijngaerdt erzielte im Januar 2007 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings wurde die Arbeit Landschap met zon (herfst) - Autumn landscape für EUR 3.000,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.600,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Piet van Wijngaerdt mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Het Toilet beobachtet, die im Mai 2006 für EUR 11.400,00 versteigert wurde.
