Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'Abcoudermeer' by Piet van Wijngaerdt was auctioned at Sothebys in Amsterdam in March 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,800.00 – 2,500.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,920.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Piet van Wijngaerdt have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Het Toilet in May 2006 with an auction result of EUR 11,400.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit 'Abcoudermeer' von Piet van Wijngaerdt kam im März 2007 bei Sothebys in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.800,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.920,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Piet van Wijngaerdt auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Het Toilet im Mai 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 11.400,00.
