Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Piet Moget achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in February 2004. In the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction, the work Composition sold for EUR 2,390.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 900.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Piet Moget - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Sans titre, which sold at auction in December this year for EUR 5,040.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Piet Moget erzielte im Februar 2004 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS wurde die Arbeit Composition für EUR 2.390,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 900,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Piet Moget mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Sans titre beobachtet, die im Dezember diesen Jahres für EUR 5.040,00 versteigert wurde.
