Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work Perenbloesem in vaas: Pearblossoms in a glass vase by Piet de Regt for EUR 956.00. This price was achieved in the auction PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS & DRAWINGS INCLUDING FLOWER PICTURES at Christies in Amsterdam and was even below the estimate range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00 set by the auction house. Other works by Piet de Regt have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in September 2002 by the work Aan de wind: sailing boats in a breeze at EUR 1,195.00.
