Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'The Underwater Project, Shark Riding', 1993 by Pierre Winther was auctioned at Sothebys in London in May 2015. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 12,165.95) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Pierre Winther have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2008 the work Shark Riding, 1992 was auctioned for GBP 11,875.00 (€ 14,357.77).

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 8.750,00 (€ 12.165,95) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
