This artwork by Pierre Roussel achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in February 2012. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Pansies sold for GBP 3,000.00 (€ 3,582.08) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Pierre Roussel; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Oliver et Jacques Travaillant sold at auction in November 2001 with the realized price of USD 3,760.00 (€ 4,197.37).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Pierre Roussel erzielte im Februar 2012 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wurde die Arbeit Pansies für GBP 3.000,00 (€ 3.582,08) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Pierre Roussel; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Oliver et Jacques Travaillant im November 2001 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 3.760,00 (€ 4.197,37).
