Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Pierre Olivier Joseph Coomans could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the European Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work An Afternoon'S Amusement changed hands for USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,602.87) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre Olivier Joseph Coomans achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Dancing Girls in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 60,000.00 (€ 86,819.00).
