In the Old Master Drawings auction, the work Two Botanical Studies From Les Liliacées: A) Massonia Pustuleuse (Massonia Pustulata) B) Parisette À Quatre Feuilles (Paris Quadrifolia) sold for USD 22,500.00 (€ 20,283.06) - well above the upper estimate of USD 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre-Joseph Redouté achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Elaborate Still Life Of Flowers In A Glass Vase Resting On An Alabaster Pedestal With A Bird Nest And A Melon Below in January 2007 with an auction result of USD 2,504,000.00 (€ 1,926,450.22).
