The work Tulipe Sauvage (Tulipa Sylvestris) by Pierre-Joseph Redouté was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2019. It achieved a price of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,351.75), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre-Joseph Redouté achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Elaborate Still Life Of Flowers In A Glass Vase Resting On An Alabaster Pedestal With A Bird Nest And A Melon Below in January 2007 with an auction result of USD 2,504,000.00 (€ 1,926,450.22).
