Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of EUR 3,000.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pierre Joseph Louis de Coninck - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ripe Fruit, which sold at auction in June 2010 for USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,119.03).
