A top price for Pierre Joseph Louis de Coninck - as previously expected
In June 2010 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master & 19th Century European Art, which included the work Ripe Fruit by Pierre Joseph Louis de Coninck. The price achieved of USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,119.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Ripe Fruit is the most expensive artwork by Pierre Joseph Louis de Coninck that we have observed at auctions so far.
