Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2010 Phillips in London held the auction BRIC Theme Sale, which included the work Set of four 'Conference' chairs, from Chandigarh, India by Pierre Jeanneret. The price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,350.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre Jeanneret achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Painted Cedar And Teak Drawing Table, Circa 1960 in June 2007 with an auction result of USD 156,000.00 (€ 115,384.62).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2010 führte Phillips in London die Auktion BRIC Theme Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Set of four 'Conference' chairs, from Chandigarh, India von Pierre Jeanneret zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.350,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pierre Jeanneret erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Painted Cedar And Teak Drawing Table, Circa 1960 im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 156.000,00 (€ 115.384,62).
