Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Periodicals Bookcase by Pierre Jeanneret was auctioned at Sothebys in Mumbai in November 2018. The price achieved of INR 2,250,000.00 (€ 28,415.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as INR 2,000,000.00 – 2,500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pierre Jeanneret have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Painted Cedar And Teak Drawing Table, Circa 1960 in June 2007 with an auction result of USD 156,000.00 (€ 115,384.62).

Die Arbeit Periodicals Bookcase von Pierre Jeanneret kam im November 2018 bei Sothebys in Mumbai zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von INR 2.250.000,00 (€ 28.415,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit INR 2.000.000,00 – 2.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pierre Jeanneret auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Painted Cedar And Teak Drawing Table, Circa 1960 im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 156.000,00 (€ 115.384,62).
