Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Clerk's desk and 'Conference' chair, from Chandigarh, India by Pierre Jeanneret was auctioned at Phillips in London in April 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,946.55) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Pierre Jeanneret have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Painted Cedar And Teak Drawing Table, Circa 1960 in June 2007 with an auction result of USD 156,000.00 (€ 115,384.62).

Die Arbeit Clerk's desk and 'Conference' chair, from Chandigarh, India von Pierre Jeanneret kam im April 2010 bei Phillips in London zur Auktion.
