Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Celui Qui Racontera by Pierre Dmitrienko was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in June 2016, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 15,000.00 – 20,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 13,750.00. Admittedly, works by Pierre Dmitrienko have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Montagnes Rouges Du Sud De L'Espagne, 1959 in October 2007 with an auction result of EUR 117,724.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Celui Qui Racontera von Pierre Dmitrienko im Juni 2016 bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 13.750,00 den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pierre Dmitrienko auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Montagnes Rouges Du Sud De L'Espagne, 1959 im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 117.724,00.
