The »bidding war« ended at GBP 705.00 (€ 1,150.49), 41% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Pierre de Clausade have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Les Peupliers, Loire in January 2008 with an auction result of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,691.90).

Die Arbeit A snow-covered river landscape von Pierre de Clausade wurde im Februar 2002 in der Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 705,00 (€ 1.150,49) und damit 41% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pierre de Clausade auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Les Peupliers, Loire im Januar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.691,90).
