The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,554.16), 25% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pierre de Clausade - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Les Peupliers, Loire, which sold at auction in January 2008 for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,691.90).

Die Arbeit A Tranquil River Landscape von Pierre de Clausade wurde im Oktober 2012 in der Auktion Christie's Interiors bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.250,00 (€ 1.554,16) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Pierre de Clausade mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Les Peupliers, Loire beobachtet, die im Januar 2008 für GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.691,90) versteigert wurde.
