Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 1,250.00 (€ 1,550.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pierre de Clausade - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Les Peupliers, Loire, which sold at auction in January 2008 for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,691.90).
