The work "Loire" by Pierre de Clausade was sold in the British and Continental Pictures auction at Christies in London in August 2004. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,135.25 (€ 1,680.18), 62% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pierre de Clausade - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Les Peupliers, Loire, which sold at auction in January 2008 for GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,691.90).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.135,25 (€ 1.680,18) und damit 62% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Pierre de Clausade mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Les Peupliers, Loire beobachtet, die im Januar 2008 für GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.691,90) versteigert wurde.
