Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2017 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European & Orientalist Art, which included the work La Lettre by Pierre Carrier-Belleuse. The price achieved of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,473.61) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Pierre Carrier-Belleuse have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Les Plaisirs de Paris' in June 2007 with an auction result of EUR 120,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2017 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European & Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit La Lettre von Pierre Carrier-Belleuse zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 13.750,00 (€ 15.473,61) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pierre Carrier-Belleuse auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Les Plaisirs de Paris' im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 120.000,00.
