In July 2016 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European & Orientalist Art, which included the work La danseuse by Pierre Carrier-Belleuse. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 22,500.00 (€ 26,734.87), 50% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Pierre Carrier-Belleuse have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Les Plaisirs de Paris' in June 2007 with an auction result of EUR 120,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im Juli 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European & Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit La danseuse von Pierre Carrier-Belleuse zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 26.734,87) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pierre Carrier-Belleuse auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Les Plaisirs de Paris' im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 120.000,00.
