Auction result well in line with expectations
The work French nude On The Beach by Pierre Carrier-Belleuse was sold in the Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art auction at Sothebys in New York in February 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 5,250.00 (€ 4,299.40) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pierre Carrier-Belleuse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Les Plaisirs de Paris' in June 2007 with an auction result of EUR 120,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit French nude On The Beach von Pierre Carrier-Belleuse wurde im Februar 2018 in der Auktion Fine Old Master & 19th Century European Art bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 5.250,00 (€ 4.299,40) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pierre Carrier-Belleuse erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Les Plaisirs de Paris' im Juni 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 120.000,00.
